~ Poverty ~

Society judges you on the standards they set

Not knowing that those who they have not met

Have the ability to set the stage

Save the world from distress

Those with disabilities, in poverty, who you believed were a mess

Judging by the cover of the book?

Just take another look ...

~ Rain ~

Rain is a reflection of Rahma

Wetting, wiping, waking

Sins of your soul sinking

Lamentation no longer lingering

Happiness hangs high

Troubles turned with the tide

All from the All-Aware

~ Winter ... ~

Oh sorrowful heart

Know that the sheet of snow will melt away

And the icicles of grief will thaw

Leaving marks to remind you

To direct you, to show you where to start

The next time you feel the harsh bitter wind blow

~ Greatest of Lovers ... ~

Allah's Love holds

Even when you are bitterly cold

Do you not see your eyes?

Every blink protects your sight

Giving you the ability to see the light

As He is watching over you

Day and night

Do you not hear from your blessed ears?

Oh beseecher,

Listen to the call of every living creature

from morning to dusk calling out to the universal Provider

Who is perfect in every feature

Do you not feel the breeze?

Bringing down the rain and mercy

Seizing your pain

Until the beauty of your inner self blossoms

The hardness of the root will be next to forgotten

So allow yourself to shine

and His Love will brighten

Stopping your decline

Increasing your soul's elevation

Raising you to a Blessed station

Who else can you expect from except the Greatest of Lovers?

~ Beauty of the Heart and the Mind ~

Beauty fades while character remains.

Don’t put your-self on display like how others behave.

Your value as a Muslim/ah is far greater than any label or picture can portray.

Believe in yourself and none can sway you from the right way.

Belief in Allah is what gives you true value.

Just put your trust in Allah …

And whatever is written by the Pen will be yours which no one can prevent.

Your value is greater than what you can possibly comprehend.

Spend your path in the way of the Creator and you will find true happiness sooner or later.

The Man, the Lady and the Comb

Shaykh Akram mentioned yesterday a story that took place in India. A man was married to a wife with beautiful hair. The man was mesmerised by it. The husband only just managed to put food on the table and therefore his wife had to borrow the comb from the neighbours.

One day his wife asked her husband that if he likes her hair so much why doesn't he buy her a comb so that she can look after it rather than borrowing the comb from the neighbours. The husband said I don't even have enough money to repair even my watch and then left for work.
On the way back from work, he thought to himself how bad husband must he be for not buying his wife a comb. He went to the shop and sold his broken watch and had enough to buy a comb.
When arriving back home he found that his wife had cut all her hair. The husband asked, why did she do so, he had just sold his watch and bought this comb for her. She had said, once you had left home, I felt guilty, how bad wife I am, that my husband cannot even repair his watch, so I cut my hair and sold it. I was hoping with the money you could repair your watch. Astonished by each other's kindness both began to cry out of love for one another. <3
No matter how much wealth you have and how much you spend on one another it cannot create love between you. What is required is acts of kindness and caring.
